The Balwyn Blasters

The Balwyn Blasters provide a safe environment for young people of all abilities, gender and backgrounds to play cricket. We are primarily based at the picturesque Myrtle Park, Severn Street, North Balwyn.

Junior training is held at Myrtle Park, with home games at Balwyn Park and Myrtle Park on depending on age group.

In season 2024-25 we will be fielding multiple teams across:

Our Woolies Cricket Blast program is an introduction to cricket for kids aged 4 to 10, however, they can play with the Blasters from 8 years of age in the under 10 competition.

Friday afternoons between 5:00 and 6:00p.m.

Our philosophy at the Balwyn Saints Cricket Club is about getting involved, therefore our program is usually the cheapest around only costing you only $66 that covers the Cricket Australia Player Fee ($41) and the Cricket Victoria Player Fee ($25).

Participants will:

Build their skills through fun, game based activities. The games are designed for small groups to ensure every child gets a go, allowing them to test and learn new skills including catching, throwing and teamwork
Make new friends
Get their own Blasters Pack and wear the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes
Parents can join in the fun!
All equipment supplied

When they have mastered the basics they will be ready to graduate to Master Blasters where they can play modified games of cricket. Click here for more information.

Girls Competition

For girls that are either new or experienced. Some competitions are competitive and teams may play finals at the end of the season.

One day format matches are played Wednesday afternoons between 5 to 8p.m. This means a very good chance to a have a bat and a bowl each week! Home matches are played at Myrtle Park and away are surrounding local grounds.

Training is to be confirmed.

Season subs are $150 plus $16 insurance levy including . This includes a playing shirt.

Friday Night / Saturday Morning Junior competitions

Under 10s

For boys and girls that are under 10 years of age as at 1 September 2022. The competition is more based about getting out and playing the game, without any stress and pressure on the result.

One day format matches are played Saturday mornings between 8:30 to 11a.m. This means a very good chance to a have a bat and a bowl each week! Home matches are played at Myrtle Park and away are surrounding local grounds.

Training is on Wednesday afternoons at Myrtle Park between 4:30 and 5:30p.m.
