The Balwyn Blasters

The Balwyn Blasters provide a safe environment for young people of all abilities, gender and backgrounds to play cricket. We are primarily based at the picturesque Myrtle Park, Severn Street, North Balwyn.

Junior training is held at Myrtle Park, with home games at Balwyn Park and Myrtle Park on depending on age group.

Our Woolies Cricket Blast program is an introduction to cricket for kids aged 4 to 10, however, they can play with the Blasters from 8 years of age in the under 10 competition.

Friday afternoons between 5:00 and 6:00p.m at Myrtle Park

Our philosophy at the Balwyn Saints Cricket Club is about getting involved, therefore our program is usually the cheapest around only costing you only $66 that covers the Cricket Australia Player Fee ($41) and the Cricket Victoria Player Fee ($25).

Participants will:

  • Build their skills through fun, game based activities. The games are designed for small groups to ensure every child gets a go, allowing them to test and learn new skills including catching, throwing and teamwork
  • Make new friends
  • Get their own Blasters Pack and wear the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes
  • Parents can join in the fun!
  • All equipment supplied

When they have mastered the basics they will be ready to graduate to Master Blasters where they can play modified games of cricket. Click here for more information.
